The AtarEdge Program Modules

Students enrolled in the AtarEdge program will receive a packet of materials which will include several measures relating to current capabilities and preparedness for developing good study habits. Each participant will be provided with feedback (via email) prior to commencement of the modules. The first module will last approximately 2 hours while all other modules will last approximately one to one and a half hours. The program is fully interactive.

Module 1

Introduction session

  1. Review of any questions relating to the pre- session materials.

  2. Overview of the five modules.

  3. Timetable for modules.

  4. Discussion regarding future goals and expectations relating to exam outcomes. 

  5. Internal and external pressures for success.

  6. Overview of the technology used in the AtarEdge program.

  7. The concept of Learning being State Based.

Module 2

See it....Control it!

(Office Location)

  1. Introduction to the mind/body connection as it relates to test anxiety (using video) and the technology (eSense GSR) that the students will be provided to use at home.

  2. Discussion of the Nexus Biofeedback system that each student will be introduced to in order to assess their susceptibility to test anxiety.

  3. Individualised student training on the Biofeedback system.

Module 3

Dealing with Doubt and more

  1. This module addresses the 2 main psychological issues (Confirmation Bias and Perception) that interfere with and sometimes prevents a student from involving themselves in successful study strategies. These 2 constructs can defeat a student before they start studying and destroys motivation.

  2. Motivation - how to keep focus on study goals and the motivation necessary to see the study strategies through.

  3. How to defeat Procrastination.

Module 4

Learning is State Based

  1. The "4 digital distractors" that steal focus.

  2. Learning is State Based. - Study environment, recognising your best time to study, using the 5 human senses to study & when to take study breaks and what to do on them.

  3. Study faster and retain more - Speed reading & memory hacks (the 5 senses).

  4. Study environment necessities.

  5. Exam strategies.

Module 5

Brain food & review

(Zoom Meeting)

  1. Dietary issues for focus, energy and building resilience in the brain

  2. Chinese herbs for a sharper mind.

  3. Review of modules and set up individual Zoom meetings for follow up questions if required.

  4. The value of exercise on memory.
